Two things I love about November. Being around the Thanksgiving table with family + friends, and the excuse to set a fabulous table. Place cards are one of my favorite table elements and I love to make them myself, so I always start there. They get me in the spirit and if I begin early enough (of course, I do!), I have time to create what I really want, edit things along the way and incorporate texture, colors and layers that bring it all to life. For some reason my place cards also lead to other ideas for my tables. When my guests sit down at the table, I like them to know how much I appreciate and love having them in my home and whatever I did...I did it all for them.

Here are a few of my favorite finds...

I love the simplicity and elegance of this white on white place setting with just a hint of fresh leaves, twine and these hand-made place cards. I'm thinking white will be my direction this year and maybe I'll color things up with tangerines.

How simply pretty are these sprigs of rosemary with the white card stock. I would use a linen texture and create something to coordinate with words of thanks to scatter along the table.

Triple LOVE these burnt orange leaves with hand-written names. These were designed for a wedding, but so perfect for Thanksgiving.

And...there's always pumpkins. Dip them in gold and you've got a little glam.

These gold dipped pear place cards combine a rustic charm with elegance.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are so rich in color and beautiful this time of year that it makes it easy to create a fall harvest at your table. Think outside the box with walnuts, eggplant and leafy greens. And, remember to shop in your own house as you set the table. I always surprise myself with something unexpected that adds character to just about every table I set.

Last but not least, include something that gives everyone at your table a chance to say thanks. I can assure you this diy tag from Almost Makes Perfect will be at my table this year.

Just want to say thank you to all the bloggers, creative people, stylists, designers and photographers out there for sharing their work. So grateful....
